  • Explore the Acropolis where you will see the Propylea, the Temple of Nike, the Parthenon, wonders of the Golden Age of Pericles. From the Acropolis hill you will have an unsurpassed view of the surroundings, including the Ancient agora, the Observatory, Philopappos hill and more. You will also admire the theatre of Dionysos and the Odeon of Herod Atticus where Ancient Greek drama was first staged.
  • From Syntagma square, the central historical district of the city and passing from the monument of the Unknown Soldier you will enjoy a pleasant walk through the National Gardens, the neoclassical Zappeion conference centre (the oldest in Europe), the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch and the Old Plaka district.

Sounion

  • Winding your way along the coastal road admiring the wonderful beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Varkiza and countless coves, you have a splendid view of the Saronic gulf.
  • Sit comfortably and the tour guide will travel you in the past with the myth of Theseus, Ariadne and Minotaur. Arrive at Cape Sounion and visit the crowning feature of the tour, the Temple of Poseidon.
  • Explore the ancient monument dating back to 444 BC dedicated to Poseidon, the god of the sea, who was highly revered and worshipped in our country. Stand atop sheer cliffs overlooking the Aegean Sea and soak up the impressive coastal views.

Ancient Corinth

  • Starting from Athens drive westwards along the scenic coast and see beautiful beaches, until reach the Corinth Canal (short stop) to admire the breath-taking view of the spectacularly narrow canal built to link the Saronic and Corinth gulfs during the 1890s.
  • Shortly reach the ancient town of Corinth (visit) where St. Paul lived and preached for 18 months. Back in the ancient times, Corinth was among the richest cities and this is quite evident by its remains, including the huge Agora (marketplace), many fountains and Apollo’s Temple from the 6th century BC.
  • Stroll around the relics of Corinth, once an influential ancient Greek and Roman city. One the way back to Athens pass the seaside town of Kechreai where St. Paul disembarked upon his arrival.

Mycenae – Nafplion – Epidaurus

  • Drive along the coastal road of the Saronic gulf, reach the Corinth canal (short stop) and continue to Mycenae, visit the remains of the ancient city, including the Lion’s Gate, the Tomb of Agamemnon and the Palace. Then drive through Argos to Nafplion.
  • After lunch, short stop in Nafplion, free time to stroll in the old city (first capital of Greece in the 1830s). Then continue and visit Ancient Epidaurus and its theatre, famous for its remarkable acoustics plus the museum.
  • Return to Athens via the Epidaurus-Corinth road.

Delphi

  • Drive past Levadia through Arachova (a famous ski town). Arrive at Delphi the ancient sanctuary of Apollo, the “navel” of the world. Visit the museum, where among other treasures one can see the unique bronze statue of the Charioteer.
  • Visit the temple of Apollo and the archaeological site, where the oracle was once being performed.
  • Lunch at Delphi and return to Athens by the same route. On the way back there will be a short photo stop at Arachova village.

Hydra – Poros – Aegina

  • Embark on a cruise ship and sail for the island of Hydra with its unique architecture, crystal clear waters, splendid craft and jewel shops, folk art and the island’s traditional means of transport, the donkey.
  • Then sail to Poros, the smallest of the three islands where the town rests in a narrow strait between Poros island and the Peloponnese. A climb to the town’s magnificent bell tower offers an unforgettable view.
  • In the early afternoon sail for the island of Aegina, passing through the narrow strait separating the Peloponnesian coast from the island of Poros. Aegina is known for its rich history, inspiring pistachio grove and vegetable marketplace as well as picturesque seaside villages such as St. Marina with its taverns, traditional shops and beautiful golden beaches.
